Lower Back Pain? This Twist Changes Everything.

If you're dealing with lower back pain, your core might be the real culprit. Weak or inactive core muscles force your lower back to do the heavy lifting—literally.

One of the most effective ways to fix that imbalance?

The Cable Russian Twist. It’s not just another ab exercise—it targets your obliques, transverse abdominis, and lower back stabilizers, all while mimicking real-world movements that keep your spine protected.

💡 Why It Works:

  • Rotational strength: We twist all day long—getting out of cars, reaching for things, even walking involves rotation. Training this pattern builds real-world strength.

  • Spinal stability: A strong core means your spine stays supported and pain-free during daily tasks.

  • Controlled resistance: Using a cable gives you constant tension throughout the movement, maximizing muscle engagement and control.

✅ How to Do It:

  1. Set a cable handle at chest height.

  2. Stand sideways to the cable machine, feet shoulder-width apart.

  3. Grab the handle with both hands, arms extended in front of you.

  4. Twist your torso away from the machine, keeping your hips square.

  5. Control the return. Repeat 10–15 reps per side.

Start light. Focus on form. Feel the core fire up—and watch the lower back pain fade out.
